Course Description

The Lady Health Visitor (LHV) is a two-year diploma course offered through an annual system. This program is designed to prepare young women to become licensed, skilled health professionals who can practice independently within their communities. The duties of a Lady Health Visitor extend beyond the clinic, as they are responsible for looking after families in their homes within a specific community area. Their function is based on the health needs and related problems of the community, focusing on preventing diseases, promoting and maintaining health, and reducing morbidity and mortality in mothers and children.
